Pleat Dress Drape

Muslin drape on a half size dress form exploring dart manipulation. My inspiration for this garment was based on the idea of marine life, shells in the sea, and how mollusks can shed their exoskeletons and transform into something new. From my idea of shells, I decided to add pleating to the bodice and waist yoke of my dress to emulate the grooves on shells. My dress also includes tucks on the back of the dress and a flare skirt.
